We’re called Blank Slate for a reason.
We believe you can always start fresh.
Wipe it clean.
Strip it back.
Build strength from the bottom up.
No matter where you’re starting from — new to movement, coming back after a break, or ready to level up — your body is never “behind.” It’s just waiting for the right input.
That’s where we come in.
OUR METHOD
At Blank Slate, we use Slow Resistance Training (SRT) — a time-under-tension Pilates method that keeps muscles engaged longer through slow, controlled movement.
Less momentum. More control. More results.
SLOW, CONTROLLED, AND UNAPOLOGETICALLY CHALLENGING
Moving slowly makes this method beginner-friendly by design — you have time to learn the movements and get stronger inside them. But don’t confuse slow with easy. Control is the challenge.
LOW-IMPACT, HIGH-INTENSITY
Our method is joint-friendly but far from easy. Slow resistance keeps your muscles working continuously, elevates your heart rate, and delivers a full-body burn — without pounding your joints.
YES, IT IS PILATES.
Pilates is a legally recognized form of exercise. A 2000 U.S. federal court ruling confirmed “Pilates” as a generic exercise method — not a brand. We honor the method’s foundations while applying modern strength principles on the reformer.
You come to Blank Slate for a 50-minute session — a full-body, focused workout that includes intentional stretching and leaves you feeling undeniably stronger than when you walked in.
Blank Slate is built on community, not intimidation. Whether it’s studio events, shared sweat, or post-class hangs, this is a space where people show up for the work and for each other.
If you’ve ever felt like fitness studios weren’t for you — too loud, too performative, too exclusive — this is your sign. Our classes are slow, controlled, and welcoming by design. Everyone is moving at their own pace, focusing inward, learning the same foundational movements together.
No experience required.
No one watching you except your own muscles shaking.
Our door is wide open. All bodies. All backgrounds. All starting points.
You don’t have to be “good” at Pilates to belong here.
You just have to show up.
